ASTRO WOMAN : Colonel Kathleen LeClaire
| Colonel Le Claire began her career in the U.S. Air Force, moving eventually to NASA as an astronaut and test pilot. It was during one of these test flights, for NASA's Seraphim Project, that her powers arose. Most of the details of the craft she was piloting are still classified, but it is known that rudimentary hyperspace technology was in use, and it is surmised that the powers that the she found herself with afterward are extradimensional in nature. Her case was turned over to the Olympus Project, where she was trained and her powers developed, with an eventual eye towards membership in The Crusaders, under the name Astro Girl. Unfortunately, that organization dissolved shortly before she was set to join them. She served for two years as a solo super powered government agent from 1979 to 1981, when she was attached to the Lawmen Agency. Always something of a loner and very independent, she nearly ended her association with The Lawmen in 1989 when she sided with The Vigilantes during that crisis, but eventually came back into the government's good graces, and has since served as a capable senior officer for B.A.S.E. She is a regular at the Titan Flats training facility as a guest instructor, and is popular with the students for her self reliant, take charge attitude. |
