C1 : General Arthur McHenry

"Handicapped? Howsabout I handy-kick your @$$."

General McHenry volunteered for armed service in 1968, and saw action as a U.S. Army Ranger in Viet Nam. A landmine on the outskirts of Saigon left him maimed and crippled, but good timing and an iron will made him a prime candidate for state of the art bionic testing being initiated at the Los Alamos Robotics Lab. Five long years later, the Military unveiled it's greatest early success in the field of cybernetics. C1 served abroad with the Army's Hercules Team for eight years. During this period McHenry grew increasingly dissatisfied with his career, feeling that he was little more than a glorifed weapons system. In a highly publicised legal battle stemming from a disagreement between himself and the U.S.Army as to whether he should be allowed to leave national service, McHenry won an honorable discharge with full honors, based on his distinguished career. Still feeling he had something to offer to the American people, he joined The Lawmen Agency in 1986, and turned his advanced cybernetic systems and tremendous skill to the task of civilian law enforcement. In 1991 he was assigned as Cheif of Operations for B.A.S.E., based on his considerable tactical and strategic savvy, and his organizational ability. He has been a major hand in the establishment of B.A.S.E.'s structure and methodology.
