| While studying internet technologies and wireless communications at Cornell University, Sergeant Lucas Monroe suffered an accident on a stormy night while working to repair the A.I. lab's servers. A massive power surge brought on by downed power lines nearly electrocuted the young man, but it also left him with the power to link to and control machines with his mind, as he found out at the hospital shortly afterward. "I guess you can blame "The Young and The Restless" for the discovery of my powers." he jokes, referring to his first use of his newfound abilities to turn off a hospital television set. He duly reported his super powers and registered according to the Baily Act, and volunteered to join B.A.S.E. shortly afterward. He's since become a key part of the North East Chapter's infrastructure, as both the "tech guy" and chopper pilot for the team, as well as a popular spokesman for the B.A.S.E. program in the New England area. |
