| Lieutenant Albert Whitman was born a normal grizzly bear cub in the forests of North Dakota. As far as can be told, he encountered the radioactive wreckage of an experimental aircraft originating at the Groom Lake test facility, but details are sketchy at best. He was discovered by an independent cryptozoologist, Simon Kellerman, who was searching for proof of the "Bigfoot" creature. In the months after he was adopted, his sentient behavior became more and more evident, and Kellerman turned the young bear's care over to the Emergent Sentience Lab at Tufts University. Upon achieving his GED and Citizenship, Lt. Whitman enrolled in the prototype B.A.S.E. project, and was one of the training program's first graduates, assigned with Colonel Damon Grey to set up the North East Chapter. He's since distinguished himself as a tactical feild commander and special ops leader. |
