MACHINE is dedicated to our GAMMA
WORLD campaign. For those of you
with GAMMA WORLD, it's a role playing game set in the distant future, after the nations of the Earth have been annihilated by a terrible nuclear war. All culture and science as we know it has passed into the realm of legend, and mutation has created a deadly wilderness of monsters for the protagonists to try to survive in. That's okay, though, because most of the protagonists in GAMMA WORLD are deadly mutants themselves.
My gaming group and I played a heavily modified version of the First Edition GAMMA WORLD rules, originally set in the Texas Territories of Post-Apocalypse 'Merica, in a campaign I titled "The New West". Eventually, we developed new areas to explore, like The New South. We've had a lot of fun with it, so we thought we'd share some of the weirdness.
Even though the group I ran
this campaign for has long since gone our separate ways, I've still on occasion
turned some thought to our little post-apocalyptic playland, and so stay
tuned for some new material, and even some whole new sections to open up
in the future.
